In Aug 2017 I was doing some research for a speech I was giving on women in male-dominated professions.
What I found astonished me!
Two separate research studies cited that 50%-52% of women leave their STEM careers due to a hostile work environment and extreme job pressure.
The number shocked me, but so did the idea that STEM women were experiencing a hostile work environment! How could this be? I was a practicing engineer for 25 years, and I would never have classified my workplace as hostile.
As I dug in deeper and deeper, I knew I had to do something, so I started the STEMinista Revolution in Jan 2018.
All with the goal of providing support and fellowship on your journey as a woman in STEM.
If you are a woman with a STEM career and you don’t feel as if you’re rockin’ anything, join the STEMinista revolution.
Together, we’ll help you feel energized again instead of exhausted.
